About · Acorn Removals & Storage

Over half a century,
one removals firm.

Acorn opened in Newbury in 1975. The same firm, on the same job, ever since. Over half a century of West Berkshire moves, driven by a full-time, in-house team. The lorry that pulls up is the one that has been here for years; the name on the side has not changed.

The story

One name,
one trade,
over fifty years on.

Acorn opened in Newbury in 1975. James took the firm on, invested in it, and grew it into the business it is today, run now with Tess, the same careful way it always was.

1

Opened, 1975.

Acorn started in Newbury in 1975 with one lorry and a roll of blankets. The trade has not changed, nor has the way of doing it.

2

Taken on, and grown.

James started here as a lad, learned the lanes, and bought the firm from its founder. He has built on its reputation ever since, and grown Acorn into what it is today.

They were brilliant. There is only one removal company in Newbury we will ever recommend.

F ifty years of practice clearly counts for something. Not a single scratch on a single piece.

W e were dreading it. Acorn turned up smiling at seven in the morning and turned the whole thing into a good day.
